Account and data deletion

Effective and last updated

Manage your information, remove connected-platform data, or close your participant account.

Choose what you want to remove

You can close your participant account using the form below, or contact us for a narrower request. For example, you may want to remove LinkedIn information while keeping an account and projects based on information you supplied independently.

For a privacy request, email maximizing.potential.admin@gmail.com. Identify the account or Page and the information you want removed. We may ask you to verify ownership. Do not send your password, access tokens, sign-in codes, or an identity document unless we explain why a specific form of verification is necessary.

Close your participant account

This permanently removes your account profile, password hash, connected sign-in identities, sign-in and assistant-consent records, sessions, assistant connections, and private submission drafts. It removes LinkedIn identity information held for the account and any sign-in information held for other connected providers.

Your public project pages, hosted apps, and screenshots will be removed from view. Active competition entries will be withdrawn from judging. Once results are finalized or awards are published, account closure does not itself cancel an earned award. The account link and contact email in project records will be removed. Independently supplied project details, limited project permission and agreement-version records, and event or judging records may remain privately for event administration and recordkeeping. Ordinary event results may retain the project title and approved credit without a link to the removed page; contact us about unwanted personal information. Copies previously shared with other people, assistants, platforms, or search engines are outside our control.

Save any work you need and coordinate with teammates before closing your account. This action cannot be undone. It does not delete your LinkedIn, Google, GitHub, or event-registration account.

Checking your sign-in…

LinkedIn access and data

You can withdraw future access through LinkedIn’s connected-app settings. Removing access there does not automatically close your Maximizing Potential account or remove information previously received. To delete that information, use account closure above or email us for a specific request.

When you request LinkedIn data deletion or close your account, we remove the associated API data and any stored authorization credentials immediately after verifying the request, except where a law or government obligation requires retention. Participant sign-in does not retain LinkedIn access tokens. Data you independently entered or uploaded, including project content, is distinct from information received through LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Page-management features are planned separately. If you have a request concerning our Page or a future administrator connection, identify the Page and the information involved in your email. Closing a participant account does not delete a LinkedIn Page or its posts. Removing records held by us and removing a post from LinkedIn are separate actions.

If you cannot sign in

Email us from the address associated with your account, if possible. We will use a proportionate verification method before changing or deleting records. We will explain any legally required retention or limits on the request. Read our Privacy Policy and User Agreement for the related commitments.
